Introduction: The JACEA is a
Non Profit Organization(NPO) formed to foster
friendship and mutual understanding between Australia
and Japan at the grass-roots level.
Establishment: April 1992
Aim: Vast size and beauty of
Australia have brought it to the attention of
people in the world. In recent years, the number
of people visiting Australia has increased and
the relationship between Japan and Australia has
become closer and closer.
The aim of this association is to enhance understanding
and foster the relationship that exists between
Australia and Japan through mutual communication.
The activities of JACEA seek to expand ties between
Australia and Japan in a diverse range of areas
including welfare, culture, sports and economic
exchange

Main activities:
1. Monthly meeting (Nisui-kai)
with members, including seasonal parties.
2. Annual Goodwill visit Australia,
including the visit to Carnival of Flowers in
Toowoomba, QLD. as official guests by the Mayor
since 1992.
3. Fund-raising campaign for
the Royal Childrenfs Hospital in Brisbane, QLD.
Since 1993.
4. Participation in gCelebrate
Australiah in 1993.
5. Held Business Seminar in 1996
and 1998.
6. Welcome party for special
guests from Australia. (Sports, Music, etc.)
7. Established Japan Liaison
Office of gQRTh (Queensland Race Training School)
1998-2002.
8. JACEA was approved as Non
Profit Organization (NPO) by the metropolis of
Tokyo in Nov. 1999.
9. Held the g1st Japan Australia
Patchwork Quilt Exhibitionh in 2000 at Australian
Embassy.
10. Participation event for gAustralia
Fair 2000h in 5 Takashimaya Department Stores.
11. Held the Charity Concert
for gTony Green Japan Centerh by gIsabella A Capellah,
the Southern Cross University at Australian Embassy
in 2000 and 2001.
12. Held National Convention
Japan-Australia Society with JANZ at Australian
Embassy in 2000.
13. Sponsored the Australian
Booth in gSaitama International Fairh in 2001and
2002.
14. Start the gGreen Century
Campaignh in 2002 and held the Charity Concert
in Japan.
15. Mr. Y Matsuyama, was awarded
of the gAward of the Minister of Foreign Affairsh
in 2002.
16. Mr. Y Matsuyama was invited
to the gAutumn Garden Partyh under the auspices
of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress in
October 2002.
17. Mr. Y Matsuyama was invited
to the gCherry Blossom Partyh under the auspices
of the Prime Minister in April 2003.
18. Mr. Y Matsuyama of JACEA
was elected vice president of National Federation
Japan Australia Societies in May 2005.
19. Contributed money, entrusted
by Kadokawa Pictured Inc whose sales of goods
used for their products gGamerahat Charity Auction
to Royal Childrenfs Hospital in Brisbane, Feb
2006.
20. Sponsored hThe Roppongi Sound
Cruising gfor there official participation,their
event held at leading jazz spots in Roppongi Tokyo,into
2006 Australia -Japan Year of Exchange in Oct
